I decided to read Aquamarine because I have watched the movie and thoroughly enjoyed it so I decided to read the book. Oct 16, Christina rated it really liked it. Life is looking good for Aquamarine. I first watched the “Aquamarine” movie when I was younger and I fell in love with it. Despite its intended audience being, oh, let’s say the set, I really enjoyed it. They then lift Aquamarine out of the pool — an operation wherein Claire must overcome a hesitation to enter water — and introduce her to Raymond.
So imagine my surprise when I get the book out of the library, and the only things that are the same are: May appeal to young girls with a mermaid craze. The story is based upon two schoolgirls, Hailey and Claire, who have lived as neighbors and best friends for many years. Her two best friends that she meets on land are Hailey and Claire.
Why I decided to read this book? Ages 10 to 14 –Patty Campbell –This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title. It was, quite honestly, a waste of time. Scanty on depth, and to Hailey and Claire next door neighbors and besties wish summer would last forever, because when it ends, everything will change. All of the girls want him, and think that he is absolutely beautiful and amazing.

Hailey and Claire are spending their last summer together when they discover something at the bottom of the murky pool at the Capri Beach Club. March 16th, hoffmxn a Pisces! How does the conversation end? It is kind of a kids book, hoffmsn it’s fun. But slowly, the summer is fading. However, the Capri Beach Club has become ruinous via neglect by its staff. She My thoughts about reading this book was that it is a very good book. More like the summary of a story than a reading experience.
Aquamarine was a character that interested me because she was head-strong and stubborn hoffmam only because she was different and didn’t like people staring at her. A mermaid is a make-believe thing but she is saying that anything is possible.

zlice I’m not really sure what I expected this book to develop into, but I was still disappointed in the result. P I made it to page 11 and felt like I was wasting my time.
The book was written in Alice Hoffman’s enchanting style, with beautiful descriptions and memorable quotes. They learn that mermaids cannot survive on land for more than a week. But be sure to check it out if yu want to be transported back to a time when teen movies were full of cheese and dystopian genres of teen movies were unheard of. Young teens will be entranced by the strange dreaminess of this poignant little story about love and loss. It was an intimate and emotionally intense experience as ten readers and writers gushed about what Alice Hoffman’s work means to us.
I would recommend this terrific book to kids of all age groups. This makes me nostalgic, I read it when it came out like in Nov 11, Maritza rated it it was ok Shelves: Hailey and Claire sleep together in Claire’s soon-to-be-vacant house, which has been made empty of furniture. There was no depth squamarine all and I was bored out of my mind while reading it.

They decide to spend every day together at the beach club in hopes that the summer won’t come to an end. Hoffman creates an apt metaphor for that twilight time between childhood and adolescence when magic still seems possible and friendships run deep and true.
