Its got Focus study on pieces, pattern uses, differences, etc Aside how picture or scene changes depending on what you focus the cross hatching onto. The information, writing style and techniques utilized are all dated, although not so much so as to be difficult to read or unusable.

The vast number of high-quality drawings rendrring alone make it worth owning. Some of the old art instruction books are still the best reference. There are lots of techniques to learn.
